Overview – The theming of this room was incredible! It really felt like stepping into The Emerald City and even though there were plenty of puzzles to be getting stuck into, we couldn’t help but pause to admire the décor!

It’s time for a magic-filled adventure like no other! Fly away on a whirlwind of excitement and visit the incredible land of Oz!

The Wonderful Wizard has gone on vacation and he’s left The Tinman, The Scarecrow and the Lion in charge of running the Emerald City. This isn’t as easy of a job as he makes it look however; they could use a bit of help!

Follow the yellow brick road, make your way into the Emerald City and step into the Wizard’s shoes! You’ll be sure to make some friends along the way, so work together to fix your hot air balloon before time runs out! Are you ready for the flight of a lifetime?

Panic Rooms

This was the only room that we played at Panic Room’s first location and everyone here was just as friendly and enthusiastic as in the other locations! There was plenty of space to sit before and after our experience and we were very warmly greeted by a team who knew how some of our other escapes of the day had gone and made us feel very welcome.

Wizard of Oz

Our host got this experience off to a great start with an enthusiastic crash landing of our hot air balloon, during which we were actually stood in a wicker basket! Once in Oz, the first puzzle was a bit of a face-palm moment as we took a little while to figure it out and then there was so much to be getting on with that it felt like one of the busiest half hours I’ve had!

The variety of puzzles in this room is great, from a handheld catapult to a musical puzzle, there was something for everyone. The difficulty level in here isn’t too high, only one big puzzle tripped us up a bit and the pace slowed down as we all paused to work it out, but there are some really great puzzles, including at least one type that none of us had ever seen before and we had great fun with!

Actually needing to find a brain, heart and courage for our escape was a really fun aspect of the game and a nice indication of how much progress we were making while we played. We all had a great time in here and we were buzzing about how incredible the room looked all the way back to Panic Room 3 as we headed to our next room!

Stuart – This was a good game, lots of interesting puzzles and challenges and great theming and overall presentation. My only slight quibble here is the start of the game. As we entered the ‘hot air balloon’ we could see the room where we were to start. I feel a simple screen / door would have created a better start for us. Otherwise though I can’t fault the game. There were some unique puzzles and the main room was decorated really well. Overall a good game.
