The Escape Game – Prison Break

From https://orlandoescapegame.com/

A MILLION WAYS IN, ONE WAY OUT

The year is 1955. You’ve been wrongfully accused of a crime, and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Your new “home” is a cell that once belonged to an inmate who disappeared without a trace…or did he? Some claim he escaped. Others swear he was murdered by the infamously cruel warden. But no one actually knows…can you escape before you suffer the same fate?

The Escape Game

The Escape Game were great fun, our host was really friendly and enthusiastic and we even got free t-shirts for booking another room after finishing this one! The waiting area was fairly spacious, though when there were 2 teams in there it did feel a little crowded, we weren’t held there for very long at all though and there are areas afterwards for pictures that have plenty of space.

The Room

We started this room split into 2 pairs, each in a different cell, and this was definitely the most advanced version of this beginning that I’ve come across. There was a lot to do in each cell, but we could see nothing at all of what the other pair were exploring. It really was a case of having to communicate well as we worked through the puzzles.

Once we were free from our cells there was still a lot to do! There was a great variety of puzzles and lots to explore. The room was really in 3 parts – the cells, a shorter middle section, and then the end escape. The middle section had a lot to look at, information was everywhere! And the final third was more of a search and discover area.

It was a really interesting game and the 3 acts of the room gave us 3 sets of completely different puzzles that required to use of different skills. This is one of the few rooms we played in Orlando that I could actually see working with the maximum number of 8 players, though those cells would feel a little crowded with 4 people in each!

Score

We all really enjoyed this room. The theming was fantastic and the wide variety of puzzles was great fun. Our host was also incredibly enthusiastic, which made the experience even more enjoyable!
